  • We discovered black mold in all of our lower kitchen cabinets, Maintenance said they are going to have to rip out all of the cabinets and wall. The property manager asked if we had somewhere to stay for the weekend then stopped returning emails. The owner called and said just don't mess with it we'll be fine for now. Along with rent on Monday we left a written five day request for repairs due to health and safety. They are saying we can move that they will let us out of the lease and MAYBE be able to refund sec. dep. Are they required to refund our money and are we entitled to any moving costs

His mother will not agreee to sign the necessary paperwork for me to be added onto his birth certificate. What packet would I need to go down to the court and get this case started. The end result is be put on the birth certificate and proceed to change his last name to mine bc mother is not present / active.

Since it is not the law (?)- was this an attempt to swipe all information from DL without my permission while I was looking at the rental unit or was this an deliberate act of discrimination?

  • I rent a room inside a house with no lease month to month payment, the owner of the house lives in the room next to mine but when I'm not home he enters my room and searches my closet and drawers with the excuse of making sure i have no drugs. Also he is always knocking at my room door when I'm asleep to tell me to clean the room. Is that legal? I lock the door and when i come home the door is all the way open. Can i sue for invasion of privacy or what can i do? I'm going to vacate soon but I'm mad about he doing that i feel violated.

  • Hello. A small fire broke out in my kitchen. Fire department and police spoke with my landlord telling her that I could not stay due to soot and it needed be taking care of. Landlord stated she spoke with owner and a team would be out to find my apartment. 1 month later nothing is fixed. I shower landlord the report from fire deapart and was told that she doesnt care what the report shows that nothing is going to get fixed. She refused to give us the owners contact info also. I'm in need of guidance on what I can to legally if any. Thank you
