I have co signed for my adult son for the last 3 years. A new property management company took over the lease for the last 3 month. The new property management company did not inform me that they took over the lease. My son gave a 30 day notice on January 5 2018. He paid January rent. The new property management company says he is responsible for February rent as well. They are informing me now that I need to pay February because I am a co signer. (My son is now a student and can not afford the rent) Question: Are we responsible for February 2018 rent because the 30 days went from 01/05/2018?

A set of keys was used to rob the residence three weeks ago *with me in the home*. I stayed locked in my room since I was unsure of what was happening. Went out, things strewn everywhere, my stereo system stolen, the mail key used to steal packages expected that day. Landlord still refuses to change the locks. First excuse was that it would infringe on the rights of the roommate suspected of handing out her keys (or even helping with the robbery in person). Is what my landlord doing landlord negligence? These people have a KEY to my HOME! Isn’t there some responsibility for tenant safety???

My daughter was born in 2004, at the time my boyfriend did not have ID on him so they would not let him sign the birth certificate. We were planning on changing her last name from mines to his before she started school, in Nov 2006 he was killed she does get social security from her father and I really would like to grant his wish for his only child to have his last name and she was always taught that her last name is his, please tell me what I can do to change her last name to his?

I own the Mobile Home & rent the mobile home space. Is the landlord responsible for the maintenance or removal exisiting Palm trees or Cactus if it is a potential hazard to the mobile home? This is in Maricopa County, Mesa Arizona. Are they liable for any damages to my mobile home? Are they responsible for the removal & cost of the Palm Trees & cactus? When my husband and I were in the process of being approved for an apartment we were told that we each needed to prove that we had income. My husbands income was enough to cover the requirments, but I needed to have income in case my husband left me. We were able to get into the apartment because I have a very small income from working at home. I am worried that this will come up again when we move to a new apartment. Is this discrimination against families with stay-at-home moms?

I have a court date of 4/4/16 to address a Class 2 Misdemeanor at Gilbert Municipal Court. This is in reference to a Landlord (me) Tenant dispute. Tenant claims that I "damaged" Wicker furniture that was apparently left behind as trash when Tenant vacated property. How can I secure legal representation for this case?

Upon my mothers death, I inherited her home in a 55+ park. The manager has tried to tell me I cannot stay there because I am only 49. When I pointed out this had been addressed in original contract, she was not happy. Since then, she has spread negative rumors to other tenants, including derogatory remarks regarding my sexual orientation. She has told the security guards that I am not allowed visitors after dark - although no other resident has this restriction. She has opened my mail... What can I do about this?
