My sister and her husband are divorcing and he will get custody of their two boys. He is active in the Military and currently overseas. He will be returning late September and they wish for my husband and I to care for them for a few months due to my sister moving out of state. I would like some form of legal documentation to be able to enroll them in school and seek medical care if needed. What is the quickest, easiest, and least court dependent way to do this? All parties are in agreement.

I have had a debt that was disputed, the credit card company kept adding fees and interest until they found we would not pay. It has been 10 years now they are threatning to serve me with a summons, my question is there a statute of limitations. Ten years is very long time to try and find documentation to present in the event of a court hearing. My email address is [email protected] if you could notify me of the results of my question.

The property I am renting has on going plumbing issues. Last month, I was without proper hot water for 10 days (they fixed it on the 10th day). This month, a leak in the foundation is causing my water heater to run constantly. Thus, my utility bill has tripled. Can I request that the property management company reduce my rent to compensate for the extra high utility bill?

Hello, my Mom remarried and passed away within 4 years. She had written a holographic will, that was notorized, and verified as her handwriting. She had notated that when/if the house was sold, it would be split amongst her children. She had also mentioned a life insurance policy in her will. This will was shown to all children and spouse. Before passing, Mom learned her life insurance was canceled. Questions: Even though life insurance is no longer available, but mentioned in will, is the will still valid? Also, does the Widow recieve portion of funds from house sale when not designated?
