QUESTIONS

  • I currently live in an apartment. The complex charges for the general water sewer and trash but they also charge for a trash service separate from the az trash fee and it is not optional according to the leasing office. Are they allowed to do this or would this type of service have to be considered and option for residents to want to do? Is it illegal to charge for 2 trash services?
  • I have a court date for arraignment for a misdemeanor, If I don't plead guilty can the prosecution change the charges?
  • I am a property manager. I moved some tenants into a rental house that was a bank-owned ( as is) property. There are scorpions. Can the tenant break the lease because of this?   • The house is under contract "as is", delay in closing (1 month, then 3 more months due to divorce not yet finalized). Owner-to-be is paying rent month to month. Without permission or notice has rectified plumbing, tree, electric situations and now wants seller-to-be to pay expenses. Since it is under contract "as is", does seller-to-be have to pay anything?
