  • My landlord is withholding all of my security deposit for strange charges I did not know were acceptable. She is charging us for external AC cleaning($350),grass replacement($320),interior paint($880), we filled any holes we made with pictures, we always changed our filter on time, and we had a hired landscaper, how are these items the tenants responsibility and is she allowed to charge us for items that we did not damage, but should be considered wear and tear?
  • I have taken care of my father for many years and he finally passed away in 2013. He put my name on the house deed in 2011 but kept the mortgage in his and my late mother's names. Now that they are both deceased what do I do about the mortgage that is in his and my mother's name? There was no probate as I took over the mortgage payment and the one bill he still owed on. I simple have no clue what to do about the mortgage because I only have $730.00 per month in Social security disability and know that banks won't lend to anyone with that low an income. What can I do?

  • The Landlord/Property Management Co. has with held $858.33 of our security deposit. They say we are responsible for the Re-Rent and Commissions associated with finding a new tenant. My husband lost his job, we continued to pay rent (even though we were not living in the house) so we didn't break lease. They were able to locate a new renter after two months and returned a portion of our Security Deposit, but say we are responsible for these fees. They would have had these fees in June when our lease was up. Is it legal for them to use our deposit for expense associated with the new tenant?
  • my daugther is a 14 yr old runaway she is with a 16 yr old and his mother is aware of this. i recently had order of protection papers served to his mother, but they will not surrender my daughter she is still staying there with them. what shall i do to get her back. is there a form i can fill out and take to court that will say surrender 1 week or less, what should i do. please help! thanks
