  • My ex girlfriend and I just signed a lease this February, at the end of March she got into a bad car accident and had to recover at a rehab center and then continued at her parents. She broke up with me the beginning of May and took all her things out. She said she was coming back in two weeks but I don't think she is. She didn't pay her half of the rent of June. Can I sue her for her half because both of our names are on the lease?
  • The property management is asking that I completely replace the carpet in a bedroom. I disagree, and said that it could be easily fixed with spot treatment and carpet cleaning. As stated in the original lease document that I signed; number 8 states to return the house in "good condition with normal wear and tear." They informed me (over the phone) that "spots" smaller than a quarter would NEVER be considered normal wear and tear and would come back within three months of PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaning. I'm having a carpet company evaluate document. If the company agrees with me,w hat do I do?
  • I recently moved into a apartment on 3/9/2018, after being fully moved in by 430pm on 3/09/18. by 1230am i observed that the apt just leased to me less than 10hours ago was infested with bed bugs. i provided a written notification by email informing the management of my findings and ask for it be taken care of asap. owners refused to pay for a hotel while waiting for treatment. once treatment was finished it took another 3-4days to replaced the tile and shampoo the carpet. as of today i still have a bed bug problem.. what can i do about this. its clear the apt had this before i moved in. help!
  • Hello, my wife past away most recently In 2004 she had a conviction and owes the .state $2000.After we married in 2010 i purchased a vehicle and put both our names on the title. When I tried to sell the vehicle, MVD told me I can't sell it because the court put a lean on it and I have to pay them off first. I didn't know my wife in 2004.Do I have to pay them even though she passed away and it was prior to our marriage? Thank you for your help. Best regards, Peter Heid
  • My great grandmother is over 109 years old. She formerly was under the care of my uncle. 2 weeks ago he moved away leaving her unattended. For 2 weeks now My grandfather travels los angeles to tijuana every other day to watch over his mother in law. We have no documents for my great gram.. id like to be able to bring her to los angeles to spare my grandfather the stress and enjoy my great grandmother which im so proud to have the honor to have id like my 4 children to get to spend time with her.
