paid application fee (30.00), and was approved during special of 99.00 per month advertisement. Contacted mgmt, then was told there was nothing available, requested return of 30.00 app fee (denied)told non-refundable. How can they take a app or a fee if nothing is available. When lot came available, because of timing had no choice but to take, but we were told rent was now 295.00 instead of 99.00 even after being approved at special offering but nothing available. Do I have any recourse, and now 7 months later 99.00 special is available. Any Help would be great. thanks for the help

I went to my acoholic ex-husbands to check on him. He had given me a key. I entered his apartment after calling and leaving messages and knocking. After I entered the apartment I was attacked and beaten. The police came. I never hit him. I end up in the hospital for the night with facial trauma and lacerations to my had with broken glass in it still. The police said I could not file charges on him because I was in his residence. He tried to kill me. What can I do?? I have cut all connections with him and am not answering any of his call to me or his children. I am scared.

Can I have my vehicle towed with out legal documents

Car accident where both parties are found at fault, me 30%, them 70%. They are NOW (6 months later) suing for 28 grand of injury present and future costs. Their insurance paid me very little but did pay 5 grand for my totaled truck worth about 15 grand. I only had liability and their lawyers letter states they are suing me personally since my insurance wont help cover anything. He had no injuries at all at the accident, walked around waiting for police, talking on his cell. He went to the doctor 2 days later according to his lawyer. Can I really be liable for 28 grand? Do I need lawyer?

My mother is 92 and a new neighbor has recently befriended her. My mother lives alone and about 450 miles from me and refused to move in with me.I became ill and could no longer care for my mother.Family members flew in from other states to help but I lived the closest.I just became aware that my mother has been changing her financial doucuments with the help of this new neighbor.I found her writing and printing on these documents which contain my name,address,social security number.She helped my mother take my name off.She was acting as her legal guardian.My mother cannot hear or see very well and cannot drive anymore.I called this neighbor up and asked her want was going on? She said she was helping because I abandoned my mother.My mother has two medicare nurses a week that assist her and I have a licensed/bonded agency that can take her to doctors and shopping.When I called this neighbor she called the local police and said I harassed her.I tried to tell the officer on the phone that I may be the victim of identity theft and she may have copies of personal information but he said his concern was only about a phone call and didn't want to know anything else.Again,I live 450 miles away.She took my mother to the funeral home where my mother has made her arrangements and had my name crossed out and her name put in to receive my mother's ashes.I don't know what she was up to but it is all very suspicous.Is ther anything I can do? The only things missing so far that I can determine from my mother's home are clothing(which is mine)and some small items. Does a landlord have to store my left over belongings after a fuve day eviction

My wife and I are divorcing and we currently have three adopted children and are currently fostering another- underkinship care. My wife does not want to adopt him and I do. I plan to adopt him. She has stated that she will complain he has molested and beat up the other kids in the home to have him removed. There is only one incident that has been recorded with CPS. She has not told me or the case worker of anything else. Can I adopt him even after we are divorced and how do I protect him against untruths?

we were evicted from a trailer court recently but i own my trailer outright, paid for free and clear. Can the park take my trailer from me? Its too old to move and they say that if I sell it I have to sell it for a minimum of what is owed to them or they will evict the new owner. That doesnt seem right to me.

Landlord wants to evict me do too late payment of rent though he knows that I get paid on the 1st cuz of Social Security but wants the money on the 21st and is imposing several late fees monthly and trying to evict me is there a law governing that he should prorate my rent due to the fact that I don't get my Social Security check until the first of the month are they don't they have to work with Social Security if they approve you in the park to rent cuz we purchased our home
