QUESTIONS

  • My husband and my daughter (his stepdaughter) were in an argument and my daughter slapped my husband in the face. My husband called the police and now wants to get a restraining order. My daughter was in the wrong by getting physical but I also don't think a restraining order is needed. Where does that leave me. My daughter can never come to our house again.
  • I'm 19 parents are divorced, dad has been supporting me, wondering if the child support could come directly to me instead of my mother I never see any of the child support, if not can I sue my mother for the child support, since a lot of the time I'm at my boyfriends apt, staying there, my mother says that he should be supporting me since I stay over there, she is money hungry, she is also supposed to be paying on school loans, she's not. What can I do?
  • My daughter is 25 years old and on supervised probation and living in my home. If she brings drugs into my house without my knowledge and the probation officer searches her/her room, can I be charged with something or can I lose my house?
  • My mortgage is with Bank I am behind on my payments and now they have started foreclosure proceedings. Bank states that in order to reinstate my mortgage I have to go through their foreclosure attorney and pay the unpaid back mortgage of $7298 and various other charges that have been incurred by the attorneys office of an additional $1525. Bank will not allow me to make a direct payment to them for just the past due mortgage amount, they insist that I need to go through their attorney and their fees. Is this my only option? I want to stay in the home. What can I do?
  • If the child is in joint custody, do they have a choice on whether they want to spend time with the other parent or not?
  • In the military, is retired pay divided?
  • I am interested in suing a school I attended for not upholding their refund policy. Because they neglected to refund an overpayment and process proper paperwork during my PCS, I now have two collections on my credit report, my credit dropped 104 points and my wages will be garnished. I did not terminated the couse I was taking at any time. I transferred from one campus to another because of my orders. I did not at any time miss classes. I have been trying to resolve the issue since July of 2014. I have documents to support everything I have said. Can I file a lawsuit against the school?
  • My landlord does not fix things (like my stoves/ovens). What is the process of having fixed myself and deducting it from my rent?
  • We own a mobile home in a park. We have a lady that wants to buy our mobile. She paid a fee to start the application process to be approved for lease in the park. She passed the criminal/credit portion but they needed a note from her doctor regarding a waiver for her service dogs being over 25 lbs. Her doctor signed the form and she took it into the office. Then they told her they were wrong and it had to be mailed to the doctor's office by the park. We are over two weeks waiting on an approval and they told us they don't know when they will have an answer. Is there a time limit on approval.
  • I am not currently working and haven't for 5 year because I was the homemaker. I'm getting a divorce and since child support requires you put you make a min. of 1255.70 a month can I also put in how much day care will be for my 2 sons even if they are not in day care yet, but will be when I find a job? When entering day care in the child support agreement child support goes up a lot and I know eventually it will be used. I just am not sure if they will allow me to put that in there. If I have to put I make money, shouldn't I be required to add in child care too?
