QUESTIONS

  • My husband and I are renting a mobile home space. The mobile home mortgage lien holder is telling us we have to vacate if the mortgage is not paid. The purchaser of the mortgage is past due. We have no responsibility over the mortgage only the space rental. How are we able to get out of the rental space contract if we have to vacate under these circumstances? The purchaser is not in communication with the lien holder and has not made any response. We have been in good credit with the space rental/landowner payments to date.
  • I finished my contract to my previous apartments even thought it was vacant for few months. I still paid them. And i called the electric to transfer all my bills from my previous address to the new address so they did. And i did paid it. Then few weeks i have received a letter from them that they paid the electric from my unit. So they were asking me to pay them. So i called electric company to ask if it's really my bill becuase i paid my bill the date that i left and asked for disconnection. I don't know why the apartments are charging me for the bill that wasn't mine.Pls help need an answer

  • I did not file for divorce and custody rights yet but if I will, is there any possibility that I could have the sole custody of my child? My husband has a history of domestic violence, extreme dui and issue from his ex-wife's son. I have a restraining order for him which was not served to him yet  because I do not know where he's at now. Can I still divorce him even if I do not know the address? And get divorced too?
  • I have children who have been in private school for the last 7 years. Their father and I are getting divorced. Is he obligated to continue paying for private school expenses? The children have never attended public schools and now their dad is saying that he should not have to pay for the schooling and they should be withdrawn from the private schools.   • I have been moved in my apt since 3/26/2020 and I haven't received my mailbox key as of today. I've been inquiring about it. My mailbox needs repairs to get a key and get my nail. My mail is being returned to sending because the office lady won't allow my mail to be left with the office people. So I'm not able to get my mail. They had maintenance fix mailboxes few weeks back but they never got to my and the office lady was unable to give me another date when maintenance plans on fixing mine. Am I obligated to pay rent since my mailbox is broken so I'm unable to receive any mail.
