  • How I change my address?
  • One year lease ended, converting to month to month lease, per provision in original lease. Landlord now says they want either a $300 fee to write a new lease or add a monthly $50 fee if month to month. There is nothing stated in original lease that either of these fees would be applied after the initial year ended. Is this legal?
  • I missed my initial hearing for unemployment last june due to a misunderstanding on the directions i have since filed for appeals as i keep getting denied. i am on my last one it seems i am trying to prove good cause for missing my first hearing. i was advised by the az gov office to seek legal advice. I feel i had good cause i understood i had a phone hearing and i was not going to be present so i did not need to call in advance as directd onpage one. the directions are misleading. what can i do to prove good cause? i did not know that good cause was te case until after my 1st appeal thanyou
  • We have a 1 yr old and when we moved in last oct2015, there was cockroaches in the bathroom. We have cleaned spotlessly, and even bombed the place, yet they just keep coming. For a while, they had their own bug guy come in and treat our apartment once we moved in, but now they stopped. We canot get rid of them!!!! I'm so sick of them biting us, and my daughter somehow eating dead ones. What can we do?!?!? This is our main concern, as they don't do a great job anyways.
  • My landlord has told me that he is going into foreclosure soon. He has began to remove things from the home because he 'owns' it and wants to take it before the bank takes the home. Items include: storage shed, backyard patio ceiling, steel bars from the windows. Is this legal? Should their be a change in rent due to the cosmetic change of the house?
  • I lived in apartment for 2yrs. Carpet was new. Contract was up 11/30/18 and completed the walk-through on 11/28. At the walk-through we were told that everything was fine except a stain on the countertop which we were told that we would probably have to pay for. Two weeks later I get a letter that I have to pay to replace the carpet because it's worn more than the 36 month life limit. I have pictures of the carpet and it is not worn nor dirty.
  • A friend wants to pay to build a large shop/garage behind my house, for us to work on cars. By doing this, can he, in anyway, have legal property rights to owning my land?
  • The AZ Landlord and Tenant Act states that a landlord must supply reasonable amounts of hot water, heating, and air conditioning or cooling. As far as air conditioning goes what is a reasonable amount? Is it a specific temp that your unit should be able to maintain? My unit in the evenings sometimes reach 83-84 degrees. Others in the complex said they have the same issue. We have a chilled water system, and we believe they just need to turn the temperature down on the system. But they say that the water temp is at the correct temp.
  • I am renting to own a mobile home in a mobile home park, my propane line that runs my stove, hot water heater and furnace is leaking and i can smell propane through the house and outsied the house. my question is who is reponsible for repairing the propane line? the landlord says we are as tenents. Also, my furnace that provides heat does not work and has not worked in the whole 18 months I lived here and I have kids, he says it is my responsibility to fix.
