My question is; Do I need to have power of attorney for my mother in order to listen to the recorded conversation between my mother and the original telemarketer? They claim I do. Thank you Allan

We fell on hard times and couldn't pay our car payment for a leased vehicle. They repossessed the car, sold it and now are suing us for almost the full price that it was being sold for. are we responsible for the full price of a leased vehicle. Why wouldn't we be responsible for just the remainder of the lease payments? And why should we have to pay them for a vehicle we don't have anymore. We can barely make ends meet now a garnishment would make us homeless.

My grandfather is 91 and not expected to live much longer. He has a house valued at 60K but he owes 50K on it. The house is deeded to "the trust of..." Who gets the house upon his death and also, who is responsible for maintaining the payments? I am the executor of his will and current POA for him but there is no special provision regarding real estate. He does have a trust set up and we only have the "abstract of trust" that states who the trustee is upon his death.

I let a friend stay with me in my new apartment, however she isn't listed on the lease. She paid rent one month out of the three months I've been there and paid utilities for the second month only. Can I ask her to leave immediately since she isn't paying rent but gets mail to my resident, or do I have to give her a notice?
