QUESTIONS

  • I receives a 7 day notice to pay my lot rent. I will pay it within the 7 days. However, I received a notice on a bright red paper taped to my door the past 2 days saying my account is deliquent and due immediately. Is it legal for them to do that after giving a 7 day notice in which the 7 days have not expired yet?
  • I got married in the state of Philadelphia, PA in 2004 and I have been separated since the year of 2012. I moved to the state of AZ in May of 2014 and I want to know if I can get a divorce here in the state of AZ.
  • I have a court date coming up in a few days for a petition for Emergency custody my wife has asked her attorney for. I am looking for a paid attorney for myself, I think I have found one but she wont be able to do so for about a week or two, so she said to request the courts grant a continuance to give her time to prep for my defense. I am wondering how I can go about requesting this without a lawyer present? Will the judge be able to do this?
  • What can I do if my apartment manager showed my rental file to another employee who is the grounds keeper and discussed how my rent payments are always late. Also how they want to evict me because of this.
  • I applied at an apartment complex and they told me I needed to pay a holding fee so they can hold the apartment for me. All I did qawas sign the application and told them i would bring tye holding fee another day so they gave me another form stating all of the fees I was to pay at move in. (You sign that AFTER you pay the holding fee). So a couple days later I went in and cancelled my application and now they're sending me to collection for that holding fee. I asked to be shown the policy on that and all they showed me was a paper saying the amount and next to it "non-refundable".

  • I moved to Az. In September of 2018 to live near my Daughter,Son- in- law, snd Grandchildren. I signed a 1 year lease in apt. Complex. In October of 2018, my daughter told me her husband who is in the AF would have to go to Korea for a year on orders. She has chosen to accompany him with my grandchildren. I have been reliant upon them for transport, groceries, dr.'s appt's, etc. I use a walker, have medical issues that prevent me from doing day to day tasks. They are leaving on April 1st for a year. My only income is soc.sec. mgmt here wants 2000.00 to buy out of lease. Can I get out somehow
  • I prepaid for a 1 year spot at an RV park. I am about 5 months into the agreement. I have not asked the landlord yet; but, do I have any recourse to get a refund? Mitigating circumstances, Covid-19 closed many of the amenities that caused me to go here, and I am moderately concerned about getting laid off because of Covid-19.
  • My wife's son was denied naturalization because of 3 misdemeanor marijuana possession convictions. During the wait time for the naturalization decision, his green card expired. Is the denial for charachter going to prevent him from recieving his green card.
  • The law provides that if my landlord does not return my deposit less deductions within 14 working days they are liable for damages of twice the amount of the deposit. Does that prevent the landlord from having any deductions at all?
