QUESTIONS

  • My wife's sister and husband want to relinquish their rights as parents and transfer full custody and legal guardianship to my wife and I. If both parents are consenting and sign a notarized court approved form, would we be required to announce the hearing in the local newspaper?
  • I was suppose to receive 25,000$ when I turned 18. Well when I turned 18 and tried to see if the money was in my bank account they had told me it was all spent. How would the bank let my parents withdraw my money? I'm the one who sufferd from my car crash, is it against the law for the bank to let my parents withdraw all of that money? Because I never seen a dime.
  • How can I obtain my ATLAS number?
  • My sister died in April leaving her estate to 2 foster children. Her personal representative quit in May and no one has assumed control of the estate and he has not turned it over to anyone. I fear the home will go into foreclosure. I would like to have a private fiduciary take over, what do I have to do to make that happen? The foster children are listed as her only heirs, my brothers are furious, can they prevent a private fiduciary from assuming control and force the foreclosure and loss of her estate? I don't have funds to hire a lawyer, how can I get this accomplished?
  • If there is an old address on a Power of Attorney Health Care Form, is it still legal?
  • I put in a two week notice, but after the two weeks were up, my old job would not give me my PTO (paid time off) and I accumulated 80 hrs worth. What do I do and who can I talk to?
  • I moved in the 4th of July weekend, signing a 1 year lease, which will convert to month-to-month after the 1st year. On 12/31/15 I received a notice that they were raising my "tax" amount effective 2/1/16 - is this legal? And once the lease becomes month-to-month and you agree to a rental amount increase (which is sure to come), do you legally have to sign the agreement which is the same format as a "1 year" lease? Is it also possible to receive a copy of the "Landlord/Tenant Handbook"?
  • CAN CHILD SUPPORT TAKE THE MONEY I RECEIVE FROM A LAW SUIT
  • We have a parental enforcement/ child support hearing tomorrow in el Paso. We live in Florida, so we are doing it via phone. Our attorney has all our original paperwork and is not returning our calls. Help?
  • I own my home/rent lot, in 55+ m/h park, my house burnt down 3/7 I was told my responsibility to move it. I don't know how, and I can't afford. LL states will move it if I sign over title. Is that ok? What's the catch? Can I still live in this park? Is this a usual practice? Please advise, I want to stay in this park
