  • We gave a deposit hold to a real estate agent who said it was to keep our application in first place. In order to rent the house, they were needing 6 months rent ahead of time. She received the hold on the 16th, we submitted an incomplete application on the 17th and on the 21st she requested the remainder. On the 22 I informed her that we would not be able to provide the 6 months of prepaid rent to her as we originally thought and that otherwise we were not eligible to rent the property. She is now saying that we have no right to our hold. On the application it says deposits can be refunded

Can the defendant ask for another court date or legally contest it again. They were notified of the court date, since they requested it, so the court labeled them as "did not appear and had notification of the hearing date and time". This has been a very stressful ordeal. I want to know if I can breathe again or if I can expect to have to go to court again if the defendant requests it.

  • Hello, I married my spouse about 1 year ago. We then PCSed to overseas. My wife found employment in a GS-8 job. Now she wants to live the single life- never comes home, parties all the time with others, and has had affairs with other men. I want to divorce her but she doesn't want to get a divorce because she wants to keep the GS job. Her job really likes her and is looking for a way to keep her here . Its I want nothing to do with her. My question- is there a law that protects service members from these predatory spouses that marry just for the preferential hiring for these GS jobs?
