  • I live in a home in which had not been occupied for about 4years. I have been here almost18months now i have done some work on the place like put locks on front door itjusthad a chain throughtthe hole, I’ve fixed resroom sink and painted, i put up a dividing fence in the back yard as well as cleaned up the entire property, I’ve finished the bedroom closet including insulation drywall and soon paint the owner of the home is telling me because i had an incident with his son locking me out of my home that now i have to move out and i have 8days. We have no wtitten agreement. What can i do?
  • Landlord has given me a 5 day notice to vacate. I want this to be resolved in court as soon as possible. My questions is can the landlord wait more then the 5 days to file with the court? Could he wait to file 2 weeks? Is there a point where the notice is not a valid 5 day notice?

  • I applied for veteran's court here in Anoka County, MN. I was sentenced at traditional court with 120 days forthwith and then a staggered sentence totalling 365 days. As part of my sentence I am now required to complete veteran's treatment after my release from incarceration. When I applied for veteran's court I was under the impression that it was in lieu of incarceration. Also I was not offered a stay of adjudication, only a stay of imposition. There seems to be no incentive for vet's court for me other than I have to do it or get a probation violation. Is that legal?
