QUESTIONS

  • Our lease ended July 31st. We forgot to shut off the electric until August 14th. Now we have a bill for those two weeks. Who is responsible to pay? Us or the Complex?
  • I have lived in my home for 21yrs. My ex has the loan and I am on the deed (title). We seperated and he moved out about 8 years ago. In 2016 he filed a breech of contract claiming I didnt put in my share, wants a quiet title and wants me out. He was granted a default judgement against me. I filed a motion to vacate judgement and was denied with the final judge stating I had to metorious agrument and was not credible although 3 judges before that one disagree and have denied all his motions. I am filing an appeal. Would I be the plaintiff or the defendant? I need legal aid, who can help me?
  • Relative on parole & will not listen. He is not forthcoming with details but was stopped in Mohave county & now has a criminal case in their court system. He lives in Yavapai County. He never showed for court and has failed to pay fines for a different case from 2 months ago. He is saying he is going to flee to another state. When he flees & WHEN he is caught - what kind of additional time is he looking at for purposely leaving the state to avoid going back to prison. The last entry in the Mohave court system is 8/17/15. Today is 9/1 - How long does will it take for a new warrant to be issued?

  • My daughter has custody the grandchildren. She is a drug addict/alcoholic. She has struggled with her addictions for years and once again losing battle. The children's father is in the military, stationed in WA. How can he ask for custody?
  • My Park charged me a $5 per day late fee on unpaid late fees. Is this legal in Arizona? The park applies any payment made to the amount due, thus guaranteeing that any payment made that is less than the entire amount owed will be subject to late fees for the entire time additional money is owed. I believe there are laws preventing that practice for mortgages but I'm unsure about rentals or leases. Shouldn't payments first be applied toward the monthly rent or lease and then any additional payment be applied to late fees? And isn't it illegal to charge interest or fees on late fees?
  • How come I am Being served with child support through DES? Also my son who is disabled is covered through the state, there is no child care expenses and clothes and food is split. The mother of our kids makes 30$+ an hour as a nurse can you even file for cash assistance making that much? And it seems like you could just file online and someone gets screwed because des believes the application who filed. I am not a dead beat Dad and I am so active in my kids lives...
