  • My son who is 12yrs old has been living with me for the last 6 months. His mother has not worked in about 4yrs and moved several times and at this time has no place to live or car. She gets 1226. a month from me. She has medical issues and feel she is not stable. She has been admitted to a behavioral hospital a couple times and is currently on probation for her daughters truancy. I want to know whats the best way to get custody of my son. Im afraid if she finds out she will take him from me
  • We signed a year lease, Feb.2015. There was a note on our door, may 4th,2015 saying we haven't signed yet. We called the Apt. Mngr. and he looked it up on the computer and saw that we did sign a lease but the year was wrong on the lease. Instead of 2015-16 it said 2014-15 but it has our signatures and the right date of signing 2-28-15. Nobody caught that when we signed in Feb.He said to come in and resign.When we went yesterday to resign he said the rent also increased even though we were quoted the price in the lease in Feb. This seems unfair and wrong/illegal?Help appreciated.Thanks, Tom
  • I the home owner. I had a management co. The renter tried to fix stuff on his own. EX. tub faucet was taken off and the pipe was caped off with looks like a lotion top. Internal parts of toilet was removed and not replaced. Just to name a few. The never contacted the company to have them fixed. The CO is now telling me stuff I can't charge for the renter for failing to have them so the repairs. They are also telling me that a plumber costs to much & she has a handy man that can do the job instead of the plumber. She is also said doors that have dents can be patched instead of a new door.
  • I have a 2 year old son and his father has not contacted me to see him in 5 months. Currently he is incarcerated and has not paid any money for the purge amount for the passed 2 months. Am I able to file for child abandonment after 6 months if the father continues this behavior? If so, how do I go about filing for this?
  • My boyfriend owes almost $100,000 to the State of California. He is paying off the welfare that his ex wife was on. His paychecks are garnished and as of a few days ago his bank account was too. I was planning on joining the Navy in the spring and we wanted to get married. My question is: Will his child support debt transfer to me?Will they be able to garnish my wages and bank account? Will any of this be put on my credit score?

  • I signed my contract on the 24th of August 2019. I didn't move in until 26th due to no fridge and power. I paid 795 plus the 250 when I turned my application in and signed the lease. Them never mentioning that I had a pro rate for August of 205 till after I signed the contract. Now are charging me the late fees for the pro rate. The contract states everything about late fees but nothing about pro rate.
  • My landlord is kicking us out of the house a month before our lease is up. During the time of our stay in this home, no repairs have been made after we notified them and the previous tennents possesions are still in the home. They have also refused to give us an copy of our original SIGNED lease and instead emailed us an changed copy that had our name typed out through a different person months later. Full access to the house was not given despite what was implied in the lease. They made unannounced visits and we have reasonable suspicion that they are leasing this home without a license.
  • My fiancé and I moved out of our apartment at the end of December 2013 and just not received a cleaning fee. It's been a year and 5 months. After we moved out we went back 2 months and asked if we owed money and they said no. Now we get cleaning fee year and a half later. Can they do that? Isn't there like time frame they have to bill me? Please help me thanks.
  • when trying to find my divorce degree to apply for ex-husbands social security after his death, finally got sent to the filing dept. and the clerk said there was no signed divorce degree in the file. The judge had never signed a divorce decree. she said i was still married to him but the ssa courts won't accept my word How do I fix the situation so I can get my ex's social security. altogether we were married 12 yrs but I disqualified because we didn't remarry for 2 yrs versus 1 yr. Neither of us ever remarried
