My lease specifically states landlord can do an annual inspection. She has requested an inspection every month for the past 3months. She also wants to come in the middle of the day when I work. She is just looking for a way to get her house back. I've given in to her inspections the past months. Now I'm done with it. I can't keep leaving work because she wants to abuse her landlord rights. Can I refuse her this time since she's abusing and my lease states annual inspection? I need help fast! I told her I couldn't be home and she insists she's coming anyway. Thank you!

Our family is relocting to another state. Our 16 year old daughter is not wanting to go and says "she refuses." We are an average American family and never had a problem with our daughter. She does well in school and my wife and I have always held very good jobs. What are her rights as a minor and ours as parents. She is claiming that if she runs away, she legally cannot be "forced" to go home.

My husband has 3 girls from a previous marriage (joint custody) and I have one son from a previous marriage. We moved into my 1800 sq.ft. home with 3 bedrooms as it is affordable for us without straining and comfortable as we see it. My son is in one room and the girls have the second bedroom with a bunk bed with a third trundle bed so each is able to sleep alone. However, thier mother is arguing that we don't have enough space for them and they aren't allowed to share a room. Is there a law or any grounds to this? Is our living arrangement acceptable?

My ex wife has decided to quit her job, remove my daughter from school and live abroad for a year (and homeschool my daughter). While I do think this would be a great experience for my daughter, I do think a year is too long and I also struggle with the fact that her mother may meet someone there and never move back home. What legal action can I take PROACTIVELY (prior to her leaving the country) to make sure that it is a court order that she is only there for 6 months maximum and that she is required to send proof of homeschooling to me.

my sons mother and i were never married and paternity has not been established. support and visitation have been by a "gentlemans" agreeement. recently however his mother has become unresponsive, threatened to leave the state and used that threat to "blackmail" me for 2,000 dollars for her unpaid rent. i love my son a great deal and would like to both prevent her leaving w/ him and obtain custody. please advise on the expeditious way to accomplish this. thanks for your help...
