QUESTIONS

  • The rent in this park has been raised $800 in the past four years--$200 a year with no end in sight, and there have been cut backs on many of the services. Who can I contact about this?
  • I am my mother's caregiver. She is 87 years old and requires me to be home 24/7. I cannot get a job because of this situation. Is there compensation for me as a caregiver through her health benefit plan, medicare or some other avenue. I am glad to be her caregiver but it has put a strain on us financially. Thank you.
  • What are my rights to having a guest while renting a room?
  • I am a truck driver and I drive the company truck. My company is asking me to sign a policy in which if there is any damage to the truck I will have to pay out my own pocket. If we do not sign the policy we will be fired. Is this legal? What type of attorney would I hire to review the policy?
  • I know blacklisting is illegal but is very difficult to prove unless there is a written paper trail. I believe in my case there is no paper trail it is all word of mouth. Is there anything I can do?
  • Can I make a guest leave my home with out going to court
  • Does a landlord have to give the tenant interest on your security deposit in the state of Arizona?
  • We rented our current residence in September 2018. The owner of the property said we did not have access to the front entry area closet and it is locked. There are also other large items that were in the house ( the largest is a China cabinet that we were told we could not damage and a few rather large wall paintings) Nothing was said during the lease negotiations nor is there anything stated in the lease agreement about these items. I want to use the closet and the other items are taking needed space. Technically I'm paying the landlord to store his stuff. What are my rights as a tenant?
  • I signed a month to month lease, but my landlord is now claiming that she made a "clerical error" and meant for the written agreement to be a year lease. She is not honoring my 30 day notice that I gave her in writing and claims I can not move out in a month. Can I pay my final month's rent and move out without penalty, and how can I ensure that she returns my deposit without taking her to court?
  • What form do I need to file to get an earlier court date than the one already set?
