I am the landlord and the water heater caused extensive water damage. The tenant broke her hip ( not as a result to the damage) and she is now under 24 hour care due to her mental state.83 years old I am being pressured to pay for her full time care while the house is being repaired. What is my responsibility for her living conditions while the house is being repaired?

my grandkids have been left with me since December 25 which mom is not helping me at all and wont sign power of attorney for me. what can I do to get custody without going thru CPS?

I want to move out of my mobile home. The does not want to buy it off me but I've had people who wanted to previously purchase it off of me. They do not want to take applications from the people who want to buy. Can they legally not accept applications from people who want to purchase and keep me paying lease space?

I was convicted of felony theft on July 3 2000, in Yavapai county .At sentencing, the judge said to me. "After you complete probation, come back and see me, and we will take this off your record". I called the court after completing probation. To do what was told to me by the judge. The court of Yavapai told me, " I have no idea as to what it is that we can do for you". Your convicted, is a conviction of law, there's nothing to do for you. Last year I mailed a request to have a say in this matter. I was given a court date. I could not make this date 4/28 . I received a letter saying to bad.

I have used the last name of my mothers second husband for my whole life. I was unaware that I was not officially adopted or entitled to use the name until recently with the new ID law coming into effect. Can I change my name legally now. If I do so will my wife have change her name. even though we were married several years ago? every thing I own is in the last name of my step dad does that matter if I change it now?

I was adopted at the age of 13 from Russia. My adopted American parents were abusive. At the age of 18 I left home. I have been homeless living with friends as I finished my high school diploma. I have not been able to pay anyone for living at their home. I have started community college full time, two of my classes are not college accredited as I was educationally deprive and have to catch up to take Eng. 101 and college math. I spend more time studying than the average student as English is my second language. I work 8 hours a week at a clothing store. I just started caring for a 90 year old lady, more than 20 hours per week, in exchange for a place to study & sleep. DES says I need to work 20 hours a week to get food stamps. Would my caring of the 90 year old count as working even though I do not get paid?

I have been renting this house for the past 18 months. April 25th a man showed up at the door and said that he is the owner of the house and said that my family and I have 10 days to vacate the house. He had a piece of paper with some other name on it and a different address. He crossed out that name and address and put my name and address. He said that if I can be out in 10 days he would pay $300 for the rental truck. I called the landlord and she said that is the owner and yes he plans on fixing up the house and selling it. My brother has had his ex-wife stay with him for about 3 weeks, she was never on the lease of the apartment, pays no rent, has no mail going to the apartment, nor does she have any utility bills. She is becoming increasingly abusive and was only supposed to be temporary. Will he need to evict her or can he just have her removed for trespassing? My brother is the only one on the lease.

My children's father is a registered sex offender, and was awarded supervised visitation in May 2009. He paid for two visits in July 2009. As of September 25, he has three warrants out for his arrest and is considered an absconder. He is running from authorities. I would like to make the family court aware of the situation and change the supervised visitation that was awarded in May 2009. What steps should I take? How do I Petition the court for a status conference?
