  • My husband and I are separated (not legally yet) and I was wondering if going through a separation or divorce gives you the right to break your lease from an apartment. Is this true?

  • My ex recentley moved in with his girlfriend. He is refusing to give me his new address. I don't feel comfortable sending my kids for 5 weeks without knowing where they will be. Do I have to send them if he refuses to give me his address?

  • We decided to withhold rent to force the landlord to repair some unhealthy living conditions. We verbally told the manager that this was why the rent was withheld. They finally got the repairs completed and agreed to a $500.00 discount for the month. They are trying to charge late fees for the month that the rent was withheld. We don't want to move but we don't think it's fair to have to pay late fees considering they agreed their fault for dragging their feet on repairs.

  • I have been living in a house since the end of May 2019 and when I came into the house there were many things wrong with it. Non functioning doors, windows, blinds, and several holes in the door that have been patched up with something that my son is allergic too and my youngest baby girl keeps picking at because its bubbly and she keeps eating it if I am not looking. I have asked them to repair several things since I have been here and they have not sent anyone and now are refusing to repair. The sink doesn't produce hot water upstairs. My toilet has been leaking. What can I do?
  • Prior to signing the current lease I have, I paid the owner directly. I signed a contract with an agent in April and now the owner claims I did not pay for Jan., Feb., or March. Now the agent is adding $2,700 for those three months. Can she add on fees to my current contract if those were fees I paid before signing with her?
