my son was sentenced to 6 years for his second DUI . When the Judge sentenced him she read off someone else priors who has the same name as him different D.O.B . He has been in the State prison Since March 3, 2016. What can be done or how can we get this cleared up. His atterny did nothing about it and when I contacted him he told me the he was no longer his representative. I did stand up in court to say something but was advised to have a seat or leave.

I live in a manufactured home on my daughers land. In lieu of space rent, I "sold" my trailer and car to her back in 2010. It is now jointly titled. When I die, I will only have household possessions, clothes, some jewerly. My entire possessions if sold at yard sale prices would probably net less than $2,000. Would my daughter have to do a Small Estate Affidafidt for my few earthly possessions? The cost of filing and hiring a lawyer would surpass the value. I may have to go on Medicaid as well- do they go after personal possessions (not property)? I would hate to have to cause such a burden for such few possessions. Thank you!

My ex-wife and I are going through a divorce and currently we have temp orders for our children. We currently have 50/50 shared joint legal decision making. The orders state supervision around her sister at all time. This is because of a drug issue. I initially filed for 50/50 and no visitations with her sister. My wife asked for sole custody. I feel it is in the best interest of the children to not be around her sister due to the drug problem. How will a judge look at this because her sister is not the one I am divorcing, but she is already in the temp orders and the kids are around her?

How can I request a paternity test for a child I have been ordered to pay support on? Unfortunately I did not seek legal counsel when I received the initial papers and wrote my response stating I did not believe I was the father. I did not pay the filing fee of $231 so they denied my statement. Where do I go from here? I live out of state.

Our grandaughter has lived in our home since birth. Parents used to live with us, the moved out in March but did not take the baby. She is currently still living in our home, they have moved 3 different times since March. Mom is a minor she was arrested for domestic violence, but charges were dropped. Father was in jail for domestic violence too but charges were dropped. We provide for the baby and take care of her 95% of the time what is the chance of gaining custody?

We signed a lease saying we were responsible for plumbing issues. We should not have moved there. We’ve had plumbers out so many times and we still have no working toilet or sink. Is there anything we can do at all. I feel like we’re stuck for a year without a bathroom with children and a brand new infant in the home. Any advice?
