  • I am an independent student at ASU and resident of Tempe, AZ. I have four months left on my residential lease. With the COVID-19 National Emergency announcement and ASU cancelling all on campus sessions, I would like to cancel my lease for the rest of the semester and move in with family. The Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act makes no mention of National Emergencies and rights extended to tenants. My lease agreement also has no provisions, including none for Force Majeure. Any guidance you can provide would be appreciate. Respectfully,

His name is not on the birth certificate and he has been absent for the greater majority of her life. There is a child support order but nothing else. Is there any way I could adopt her or get parental rights of her?

I JUST WANT LEGAL DOCUMENTATION SO THAT HE IS NOT ABLE TO TRY TO TAKE MY SON FROM ME. SOMEONE HELP??

  • My children's father is a registered sex offender, and was awarded supervised visitation in May 2009. He paid for two visits in July 2009. As of September 25, he has three warrants out for his arrest and is considered an absconder. He is running from authorities.   • The lease for my apartment ended on the 31st of the month. The office assistance told me to turn in my key on the 1st before 5pm. I did as told when I turned in the key on 1st at 3pm they said i will be charged for additional month’s rent due to the extra day i stayed in the apartment not charged for the one day but charged a whole extra $699 rent. They implied that i should have turned the key in the drop box before the office opened and were “sorry” for mis-communication. They directly told me the 1st before 5pm.
  • I lived at 5920 W.Laurie Ln apt.222 for one year on section 8 and moved because they no longer excepted it I cleaned the apartment however did not take pictures and the la lord did not do a walk thru with me she just excepted the keys and said I would be receiving my deposit in 7 to 10 business days.l do have a witness that helped me clean the apartment.What should I do?
  • The property management is asking that I completely replace the carpet in a bedroom. I disagree, and said that it could be easily fixed with spot treatment and carpet cleaning. As stated in the original lease document that I signed; number 8 states to return the house in "good condition with normal wear and tear." They informed me (over the phone) that "spots" smaller than a quarter would NEVER be considered normal wear and tear and would come back within three months of PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaning. I'm having a carpet company evaluate document. If the company agrees with me,w hat do I do?
